I arrived 20 minutes before closing time, so the kitchen was already closed, but the staff was in no rush for you to leave so that they can get home - it was such a nice experience! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, not over-bearing at all. It is a huge space, with arts and crafts, plants, wines, liqueurs, etc. The wine is nicely organised together in different wine farm areas, with some barrels that contain special wines for sale. Give yourself enough time to browse through the premises. There are also various tasting options: wine, liqueurs and muscadel. Outside they have a lot of seating space and place for children to play.

This was a very nice place to visit, they had a farmers market that is on the first Sunday of each month. There were a wide variety of tasting beverages, unfortunately we missed out on it. They also sell a wide variety of these products. They also have a restaurant and farmstall. We sat and ate lunch and it was delicious and the vibe was lovely. There was someone playing guitar and in another corner someone playing piano. We definitely want to visit again.

Most of the wine farms in the Robertson Valley are closed on a Sunday but Platform 62 on the main road in Ashton and open until 5pm offers a wide variety of wines and brandies from the valley. Siya, the wine boutique manager, is really helpful and knowledgeable about the wines and gave us a little wine tasting to help us decide. You can't miss it with the huge steam locomotive standing in the carpark!

Do NOT EAT here!! We stopped here in Ashton for lunch in April 2021 and had a rookie waiter. When we asked for the Owner, she (might be the mother) eventually came forward. When we asked why they do not train or help new staff, she told us the following: " I am NOT a restauranteer, you would be shocked if I had to serve you!" We could not believe what we were hearing! The food was also tasteless, not worth the money at all. Do yourself a huge favor and eat elsewhere. I see many people complaining about the Restaurant, but the Wine area is good, I do agree on that. We bought a lot of wine and the service there was very efficient. Nothing however is done about the poor food, bad service and expensive prices for what you get ! The feedback from the restaurant/owner does not surprise me at all, it just once again proofs why this is a place to pass by, and that they even refuse to accept what happened. They put the blame on the...

We booked 4days in advance for a group of about 15 bikers. Ons arival at 10h45 we started to order our Food. After almost 45 min the Manager came and apologise for a confution in the kitchen that our food will take longer case they had to change the chef. After about in total of an hour and a half our food arrived, eggs looked messy and it was cold aswell as the bacon.toast was cold with such a small block of butter it coverd only the one slice.. Some of us come from Bredaadorp, Rivwrdale, Witsand and we were really disapointed in all of this. The poor waitrice apologiesed soo much that i even started feeling bad. We got iceream as a consolation for the poor food at the end. Hope it will only get beter by a good repremand to the guilty...

What a great shop! If I can call it a shop... as the name suggests it's more of an experience. The wine/spirits selection was vast and very impressive, and they also had lots and lots of interesting eats and treats to buy. From what I saw there was a bar and restaurant too. It looked like there was also a section with homeware, plants and art, but we didn't have much time so we couldn't browse. I did notice some beautiful baskets and those wooden tables that have the natural tree edges on the table-tops. The staff members were very friendly, especially the woman behind the counter in the food section. She was so helpful and very knowledgeable about...
