Lotlamoreng Dam Cultural Reserve — Attraction in Mahikeng Local Municipality

Very sad and heartbreaking story of Lotlamoremng Dam. This is where you witness failure of the ruling party in maintaining what we have and in excelling in destroying what we have. Lotlamoremng Dam boosts of its former and fallen glory. The Dam still exists, destroyed toilets and other recreational buildings, removed/stolen swimming pools, the place is deserted. If it was looked after it could serve the Mahikeng Community and would be a great tourist attraction because the Dam could have had boats, etc. The Dept of Rural Development and Land Reform are trying to help the Community of Letlamoreng by building them a faculty /hall that will serve the community and youth but hey, completion will take time since we are in South Africa. This is indeed a place that lost it's former glory. Cry...
