Bakgatla Gate Pilanesberg National Park — Attraction in Moses Kotane Local Municipality

Waited a while and had to hoot to get the attention of the security officer so that I could enter. Reception very friendly and informative. Restaurant helpful but a very limited menu for both lunch and dinner. Accommodation satisfactory. It does however need maintenance. Main road inside the reserve in a terrible state. Gravel roads better to drive on but also needs grading in most areas. This is probably why many don't visit because of the poor conditions of the road network. Visited on 24 and 25 June 2024 to do reconnaissance as I have received enquiries from possible international guests. It's very difficult to recommend that they visit Pilanesberg at this stage. I will visit again in about 6 months to...

Had an amazing time away with family and the staff were friendly, but the place is sorely in need of maintenance and upgrade. Also, not their fault, but they're having problems with municipality water, so they're pumping borehole water at various times a day. And with a bout of load shedding and generator backup, it was hit and miss to have utilities. Lovely swimming pool. We had a wonderful game drive...

I had a bad experience at bakgatla Camp sight was pathetic meter long grass. One Ablution no water, but someone used it, There's no signs for people information of no water. I immediately did Cancelation because my wife and i were discussed. I am still waiting...
