This place needs to be shut down. New management or not it doesn’t take 6months to build shelter for the animals for the scorching sun and sometimes hail that can both be detrimental to the animals well being. They need to be able to be at a sanctuary not a place like this. If they cannot be in the wild where they can live a natural life it is our humane responsibility to give them something as close to that as we possibly can if we are going to use them for revenue and recreation. We owe them that for taking them out of their natural habitat. I left there with knobs in my throat at how people can go to sleep at night knowing that this is the conditions they are leaving the animals to rest in while they themselves have a place to lay themselves to rest! I am deeply heartbroken and sad that this is been allowed to happen! Somebody needs to change something and fast ! Joseph is wonderful and has apparently raised some of the animals himself but he can’t be held responsible for resources that haven’t been given to him ! The enclosures are way too small especially the poor wolfs one these animals are basically waiting in a spot for life to go by so...
Read moreThough our guide was very kind and knowledgeable and clearly loved his job, this was a very depressing place to visit. I might be able to [sort of] understand keeping these animals in such sad little enclosures temporarily for rehabilitation but they are actually breeding them there. Tigers, pumas, these are imports and there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to be breeding them (or any of the other animals there) other than for profit. Two month old baby tigers were kept in a shed at the other end of the compound, away from their mother. They were very sweet but filthy, sad little creatures with dull, matted fur. All of the enclosures were far too small to provide any kind of real stimulation or quality of life. I feel terrible for every animal that lives there and am horrified that whomever owns this place is making any money off of it. Places like this...
Read moreThe only reason I give it 1 star is because of Josef who you can see is passionate about the animals. The rest was only heartbreaking. This place really needs some attention and these cats need better. The poor wolf is all on his own he just sits at the corner of his cage, all day. The tigers have ponds but they are empty… I didn’t feel safe with my small children purely because of how run down it was I was worried because so many of them got up to come see my boy and I didn’t trust that firstly the cage would hold up on a serious effort or that anything would be done if it happened. Very very sad and I appeal to the owners to have a heart and give more to these beautiful animals seeing as you chose to bring them into this world of captivity, it’s your...
