We visited Mapungubwe during early January 2024. I was impressed by how many animals we saw. The park is well kept although it is clear that they are falling behind on the maintenance part of the park. We stayed in different camps during our visit and even the chalets are in need of general maintenance such as ceiling fans which are not working, a kettle which is out of order and our geyser in the tented camp did not work.
