The trail is well defined and marked well. After walking through the forest for a while, it is an exciting surprise to hear the waves crash against the shore, the terrain changes slightly to wetter sand and you reach a viewing deck greeted with 360 views of forest and sea. You will walk further through the forest, which becomes less covered by the canopy and admire the flora and fauna along the way. Finally, as you hike up what will feel like the steepest sand dune at the time, you enter a paradise of sun kissed yellow sand sand dunes reaching as far as the eye can see. We have spent hours rolling around in the sand and getting lost in the dunes until finding our way to the beach and walking along the shore until you get back to the start of the trail. This is an incredibly memorable hike filled with anticipation and excitement that fully...

A very beautiful hike! The hike through the forest is very easy; the beach part is not difficult either, only the middle section takes a little more effort since you will be ascending and descending a few dunes. Overall it is a hike that does not take too much effort, but I recommend choosing a cloudy day without rain for the beach part because you will be out in the open, and it can be hot on a sunny day. Alternatively, choose a hot day and dive into the ocean to cool off! Make sure you turn left into the dunes before the long wooden stairs appear; they lead to private property so they won’t help you to get back to your car near the cannons and anchors at the...

🍃Nature: This walk is a must! A short and comfortable walk for the whole family to enjoy. The path is well marked and easy. There are three distinct sections to this walk. Part 1: through the fynbos forest Part 2: on the dunes and Part 3: on the beach There is a quaint look out spot with a bench half way through the forest part. The transition from forest to dune is a short distance (15m) up a steep dune. Go up on all fours. Take a pair of sandals with for the last leg along the beach and snacks/ water. This stretch is quite possibly one of the most exquisite beaches in the world and nothing short of...
