Absolute gem of a museum. Louis Eksteen is the curator and a very knowledgeable and passionate man on history. Great views onto Newcastle as one can see the different areas of historical value. Great for kids and school groups

I enjoyed the visit, the person on duty know his history, but it seems that SA government spend no money on the SA Boer history..a 45 minute visit is all you need..

Love the history behind this museum. Although it is very sad too. It is neat and informative.

A knowledgeable curator with a deep love for and understanding of his district, its history and development. A must visit for the tourist and the local. It needs support from the authorities...
