Polokwane Snake & Reptile Park — Attraction in Polokwane Local Municipality

Nice place for entertaining Kids and have few chilling zones with built braai areas. Some animals such as Ostriches were not there by the time we visited. R50 entrance fee for adults and R30 for kids. There are swimming pools and horse riding for kids entertainment as well. The area is divided into Aquarium 🐟🐠, Snake cages🐍(though some few were not there), large variety of bird cages🦜🐦, a huge cage contain two lions🦁(female and male), crocodile cage, some fewer monkey 🐒 cages and Tortoises. There's a hall available for hiring.

The only disappointing factor for me was that the place was not that neat and less maintained in terms of some structures and benches, for example some glass cages for some snakes were dirty and cracked which disturbs one to clearly have full view of the snake inside.

The rest rooms are well looked after, the kiosk is nice to meet your basic snacks need😅...and the cameraman is available for some snaps(R30) with some certain snake species wrapped over your shoulders 😅😅

It's really a nice play to visit with fam especially with kids for learning about snakes species and...

Went there for a nice braai. Paid to get in. Not high prices, very affordable. Everything nice and clean. Took the kids to swim. Lady in kiosk told us it is R60 for adults and R40 fot the kids to swim. Understandable because it cost alot to do maintenace. So decide only the kids are going to swim. Paid and went to the swimming pool. They swam for not even 5 minutes and then a worker came to us and said we also must pay just to watch the kids swim. This is a disgrace. R60 just to sit and watch...

I had a great time at Snake Park in Polokwane! The swimming pool was definitely the highlight—clean, refreshing, and just perfect for a fun day out. The entrance fees are very affordable, which makes it even better. The toilets were clean, and I loved that there was a nice chilling spot where we could sit and enjoy our snacks. Luckily, it wasn’t crowded when we went, so the atmosphere was super relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d go...
