Stellenrust Wine Estate — Attraction in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

My friends and I went for wine tasing, I booked a month in advance but on the day they were fully booked and we had to wait for over an hour to get a table. The first contact when entering and speaking to the lady behind the counter was also not very friendly. I understand she was under pressure, but when I gave my name all she said was "we are fully booked sorry". I felt extremely stupid standing there and waiters walking all past me and helping other people who came in after me. They then made a table for us which was uneven and really not pretty. So we had to wait for an open table for about an hour. The food also all came at different times, so we weren't all able to eat together. I did the bitlong and wine paring, which is 5 wines... they gave me 2 glasses and I had to reuse these glasses without being rinsed because apparently they never had enough glasses. I have been to many wine tastings before, and Stellenrust has beautiful views but the entire day was unpleasant. Since I made the booking I felt very bad. I saw a review of Stellenrust on tik tok and suggested to my friends that we should try it. But rest assure I will not go off of what I see from Influences. They clearly get better treatment. Stellensrust ifls a definite to visit. Especially do the African pairing, which comes with 5 wines that are paired with dry wors, biltong, almonds, olives, and cheese. it's really great. Very friendly staff and the management is amazing. I like the different settings they have, tables for bigger groups, and lounge areas for smaller groups. There's outside seating as well overlooking the beautiful green landscaped gardens. The entrance to the parking area is through the Winelands, and you are greeted with a beautiful garden with a fountain upon arrival. We bought the Hyperli voucher where you get a Bottle of wine with a seafood platter for 2 and wow all I can say that the experience was excellent. Their service was good, the food was excellent and of course the wine was also very nice. A very beautiful place with all the Stellenbosch mountains surrounding you. The atmosphere is amazing as you kind of sit on top of a hill so you in a tranquil state of mind the whole time. Will definitely recommend them and will definitely see you guys again.
