Fabulous experience! Kids did the olive tasting and I did the olive and wine pairing. At least 15 different olive products to try. What impressed me was how many products they are making from the olive harvest— from oil and tapenade to brined olives and body care products. We loved something called olive caviar;) clever way to use blemished olives (or that is what I am guessing). I had a tasting in Pretoria before coming here so I didn’t do a full range but I tried the champagne, the unwooded Chenin and a red. I liked the chenin the first time and the second as well. Grounds are lovely. We also visited eight foot which is above the winery on the pass as you come down to the Winery where we had a lovey coffee! Try the hand crème. We all loved it.

By far the best stop you can make in Riebeek Kasteel! We've visited Kloovenberg twice in the last year and every time we leave with a car full of wine - the wine is just so good! The tasting room is cozy and the sommelier easy to talk to and very insightful. All the wines are great but a make sure to try their Granache Brut which is particularly special. They also have a lovely olive tasting and you definitely want to take home a bottle of their olives in blueberry dressing and chilli infused olive oil. For the kiddies and non-alchoholics, they have a stunning natural sparkling apple juice. The outside play area and seating is also really great if traveling with a family. There is a restaurant on site but we din't have anything, yet.

Recently went to Kloovenburg for a wine and olive tasting, they did not disappoint. The wines were beautiful on the nose and the palette, the olives tasting was truly top class...especially the olive jam and olive chutney....I bought of each and they did not see the end of the week. The facilities are a lovely blend of modern wine farm and family home, clearly displaying that this business has family at its heart. We even had the honour of meeting the owner briefly and he seems like a genuinely nice individual. I must say though my favourite has to be the chubby golden retrievers, I almost took one home. If you visit, you'll know of what I speak. I cannot recommend this place enough...

Incredible wine, terrible service! We did the wine tasting and the quality of the wine was phenomenal. We enjoyed the rich well balanced flavours and would definitely recommend their wine. The service however was terrible. The lady at the front desk made it seem like she was doing us a favour serving us. She was rude and dismissive and not what you expect from a quality establishment. It then got worse when we got to the bar. The lady re-used wine glasses when pouring our second round of our wine tasting. This included the mixing of red wine that was previously a white wine glass which messes with the flavour which defeats the purpose and tampers with the experience. Further we were forced to drink from each other’s glasses as a result of this which is non-Covid complaint and not only unprofessional but irresponsible. Overall great wine,...
