Went with my husband to see the water fall,

We were first at Bridal Vail waterfall and the experience there was much better than lone creek, you walk and it's trees and boom you see the water fall and it's fenced off (unlike bridal Vail waterfall) and then you walk over a bridge and that's it .

Nothing interesting or like the same as bridal Vail waterfall where you actually feel nature, have quite a hike and also see flowers, plants, hidden water falls were you can go and even the big watefall you can actually get a rock stand at the back of it feel everything and also we spend a lot more time there than here at lone creek. If we were at lone creek 15min in and out it's alot.

We spend 4 hours at Bridal Vail waterfall and it was amazing, beautiful, an experience!! And so special,

Would recommend lone creek falls for people who want to walk on concrete with their white Nike's and just have a look at a fenced waterfall to say " they were near the waterfall in Sabie"

NOT FOR ADVENTUROUS PEOPLE, DOWN TO EARTH and people who actually want to experience the full course of nature and how beautiful it actually is.

GO TO BRIDAL VAIL FALLS !!!

I have a review on bridal Vail falls, go have a look at that photos and how beautiful it is people and how it actually looks like...

Went there on new years eve, thought people would be resting but was so wrong, it was so fully packed the was a very long cue just to get to the gate, by the time we got close to the gate the security came and told us there was no parking inside so we had to pack on the side. Then we had to go hustle for a braai space luckly my husband cousin knew some people braaing and allowed us to braai but we had to stand, i must say we were bit on the unprepared side, we did not come with our own chairs, like i said in the begining we thought it would be empty. But later some people who were seating close to us left and we had a bench to sit on. After lunch we took a walk to the waterfall and took some pictures and enjoyed nature, the place is truly breath taking. So if you going to be coming to lone creek falls come prepared, have a trow ready or camping chairs to sit on, if you dont get a shady place to sit under then come with a big umbrella or those pack up and go gazibo, ladies the restrooms, when i went there was a super long line, so be prepared, the toilets were semi clean but atleast the toilets flushed, the water did take forever to fill up for another flush. The place is not too big so can understand it getting full quickly, but beautiful...

For starters they are concerned about fencing the waterfall instead of fixing the jacuzzi sized tub potholes on the roads. While driving towards the waterfall, one must be an expert on playing an obstacle course or else you will end up having a hefty bill to pay for your tyres and shocks , ..No longer has a good feeling of actually being close to the water ,no feeling the good energy. The fence has forbidden tourists to have the nice feeling of visiting the waterfall. It's not worth walking the hiking trail as well. It was a sad experience for me to even notice potholes that even grew grass inside them to show that even a human can take a bath in there. Or rather plant trees. Leave nature as it is. The barbwire is a definite NO! Even paying for the ticket at the gate is such a waste because you have to stand far from what...

Tucked away in the verdant forests of South Africa's Mpumalanga province, Lone Creek Falls offers a serene and enchanting retreat for nature lovers. As we embarked on the short hike leading to Lone Creek Falls, we were greeted by a sense of anticipation and wonder. The trail meandered through a lush forest, offering glimpses of sunlight filtering through the dense foliage, creating a magical atmosphere. Lone Creek Falls is a true gem of natural beauty. Its tranquil allure, captivating cascade, and immersive ambiance make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and serenity seekers alike. Prepare to be enchanted by the mesmerizing flow of water, the serene forest setting, and the sense of peace that envelops you. Entrance fee is R45.

Lone creek Falls have forever been a part of my Sabie experience and will continue going forward, Its great to see the are being looked after, managed and cleaned. the additional facilities to braai and have a picnic, but should be managed accordingly as you are in nature and theres no need for cars to be blearing music that you can hear over the waterfall at the waterfall which was slighly dissapointing considering its quite a pricey entry fee to visit the waterfall at R75 per person as a south african resident which the gate keeper wouldnt take no for an answer as the published Prices are R36 at the more expensive end and he stated out ID and or Drivers license was not valid to get the SADC rates
