This resort is AWESOME!!! My family of five stayed for three nights four days and did not want to leave. It just opened back up after being closed fondue due to COVID for five years. Despite that, everything was running more than smoothly and the service could not have been better. The rooms are luxurious with an amazing AC which is very nice when it is 40+ (100+ F) degrees outside. All the rangers are super knowledgeable and very kind, could not have felt safer. The animals on the safari are taken care of very well while left to live by themselves in the wild as they should be. Definitely an ethical reserve. The spa has amazing masseuses for very reasonable prices (especially for Americans). The national park right down the road is HUGE with endless animals to see and great guides. A great, authentic, natural reserve for a honeymoon, family trip, or solo stop....

We stayed in the Ubizane Safari Lodges for three nights. We had a delightful Rondavel, that was spacious and very comfortable. We had one dinner in the Tree House lodge which was very nice and filling. The lodge organised a National Park drive through Hluluwe Wildlife Reserve, and we were collected by a guide (Tamba) who was very knowledgeable, and found us rhinos! That same afternoon, Brandon, Ubizane's ranger guide took us for a drive in their private reserve where we saw many giraffe (including an albino giraffe!), nyala and told us many great facts about the property, about plant life and the animals. It is a very secure and quiet lodge. We were so happy we stayed at Ubizane, and would have no hesitation...

Did you love a tree house when you were young? All the rooms at Ubizane Tree Lodge are situated on stilts above the ground within a forest of large fever trees which provides the senses with interesting dynamics.
About 15 years ago this lodge was very run down and badly managed so we stopped visits. Over Christmas 2011 and last week we spent time at this old favourite and I am pleased to report it is better than ever. Now under new ownership and extremely attentive management the lodge has been transformed to surpass its best days of its past.
Accomodation, food and service is now of a very high standard. I highly recommend this lodge for a peaceful, relaxing and romantic getaway.
