Oak Valley is a hidden gem! The farm is as the name implies, a valley of oaks. The views are absolutely breath-taking. We met Keeno at the tasting room and he is incredibly knowledgeable for his age. He had in depth knowledge of all the wines and the history of the farm. It was absolutely fascinating! Wait until the end for the twist in the tale. Well played Keeno! Now for the wines. The Sauvignon blanc was as good as expected, the dry edged Riesling surprised me. We had to buy it. The Chardonnay had just the right amount of wood, but we opted for the more matured one - excellent. The pinot noir is well balanced with rich cherry aromas. Again the older flagship wine was better and we bought both. My favourite was the Merlot. We will return again and again. Great setting, excellent presentation and rich history by Keeno and...

We arrived in the afternoon, the gentleman walked towards us with a large smile, welcoming us with enthusiasm.

The absolute magnificent star of the show is in the tasting room, Gordon Basson's wine knowledge is exceptional. A special treat is his sense of humor and how he engages with clientele. Here is an eloquent future sommelier that will make South Africa proud and that does a brilliant job at selling these excellent wines.

5 star service and yes, you did convince us that Riesling isn't so terrible. 😉

Delicious wine, great service and beautiful food definitely makes this peaceful venue an absolute MUST.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Oak Valley wine tasting with Gordon as our wine tasting guide and it was truly exceptional! Gordon's charming personality and warm hospitality made us feel right at home from the start. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, providing a personalized and memorable experience.

Gordon is an outstanding ambassador for the company, and his dedication to delivering exceptional service is evident in every aspect of the tasting. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and...

From riding the MTB trails to drinking their wines, which are named after the trails or vice versa, Oak Valley is a definite must do for the MTB and wine fanatics! They have amazing and friendly service at the restaurant with spectacular views when cycling. Two wine tastings are available with four wines for R40 and their six flagship wines for R100. Their lunch smelt amazing but could not stay for it. Will definitely being going there soon again for the whole day.

Beyond description. The first time I did the Blue route as I was pressed for time however conditions were so good I extended my visit by 30min. Absolutely and exquisitely top drawer and no wonder this venue is world famous and traditionally part of the Cape Epic MTB race. Take the pressure off and just take it slow with family on the far less technical blue route. Insanely beautiful and words and photos do not do it sufficient justice. Entry R50 pp as at Oct 2020.
