Upon studying the map, we embarked on a leisurely drive to Sirheni Bushveld Camp, filled with excitement about visiting this camp for the first time. The journey itself was remarkable with fantastic wildlife sightings along the way. A pit stop at Babalala Picnic Site allowed us to savour a meal, enjoying the leftover sausage we had braaied the previous night. It was so good to see roan antelope and a reedbuck, adding a special touch to our wildlife encounters. Despite the scorching heat upon our arrival, the absence of air-conditioning in our cottage was offset by the beauty of the surroundings. Though cooled only by fans, the camp captivated us with its charm, making our stay...

Just spent 6 days in Sirheni Bushcamp in 2 chalets. Surprised to find there is an electrical point in the chalets - so phones could be charged. No comms though - heaven! Small pool of water in the river provided us with an endless flow of elephant and buffalo from our verandah. Small, quiet camp with very attentive staff - Miyelani and Matilda are great fun and work hard to keep visitors happy. Hundreds of elephant in the area - more than impala - and good loops along riverbeds from the camp. A place...

In my view the best camp in Kruger Park. Each chalet is cloaked in vegetation giving lots of privacy and a real feeling of being in the bush. Staff is super friendly. There is good game viewing along Mphongolo, Babalala offers a chance of spotting rare antelopes of the Kruger and Shingwedzi Rest Camp is close enough to stock up or use the restaurant. The S50 SE of Shingwedzi might be one of the most beautiful stretch of road...

A piece of paradise. Quiet and peaceful. 2 river hides where you can sit and watch the wildlife come down to the river. The units do need some maintenance and the gas geyser only gives you an option of a blistering hot shower or an ice cold shower - the latter is mostly appreciated with the bushveld heat and humidity. Lots of bird life that fills the air with a chorus come say or night.

Lovely, quiet camp! Units could do with some deep cleaning and upgrading but on the whole we had a wonderful stay. Units are all along the river which means you have a lovely view from your patios. Note that Decembers are extremely hot in the Kruger National park - but the camp has great fans which really help to beat some of the heat.
