OPM Prozesky Bird Sanctuary — Attraction in Tlokwe Local Municipality

Great place for birding, but wretches a lot. The water works in Potchefstroom is a disaster, and it is so sad that incompetence spills over, literally, into this place where birds of all sorts call home. There is also no safe entrance as all the gates are broken and homeless people are constantly walking about. All in all, I saw 15 species, but I would not return because of how I smelled...

Sadly , the part next to thr sewerage works is very unkempt and run down. Lovely bird sigtings though. The roads are very bumpy and washed out in many places making it almost impassable for normal cars. Some of the hides are badly tusted away and dangerous to enter. Apart from the rotten infrastructure, it's still scenic and many interesting water fowl...

Nice cool Park, you can drive through watching birds singing nicely, watching water flowing in the river, smelling water, you can also take your family and have a braai at Prozesky, save cool and watch different...
