There's 3 trail distances, the 5, 10, and the 15km. I did the 15km (solo) , and I must say that not once did I feel bored. It can get slippery in some parts where the stream flows and in wet weather. There's loads of loose rocks, so please focus, something that I actually really enjoyed cause it kept me in the zone.

The last 5km of the 15km trail is very challenging and will get the heart rate pumping. This trail is just something. You will occasionally be reminded that you're surrounded by civilisation, but it's not enough to dampen the mood. Not sure if the water from the stream is safe to drink, so I didn't try. Didn't see any animals other than cattle grazing.

If you're not fond of dogs like me, it can get irritating when the owners struggle to control them when they charge at strangers. I had 2 charge at me and I just stood my ground and on both occasions they stopped in their tracks. I wasn't upset, after all it is a dog-friendly hike trail, so, please exercise some...

Did the 15km. Unfortunately the new pipeline construction currently ongoing spoils the hike and there are some suttle detours for the first 5km or so after that it's clear to the end, there are 2 water points that I've noticed, 1 about 4km on the route and another at 10km, this is a must for any hiker, I wish they would do something to market the place more, also there are no shop at start where you can buy snacks or refreshments, there are so many opportunities in this place that needs to be utilized, there are sign board for mountain bikers however the route is seriously not made for it, the place looks neglected, the noise in the background that you will hear are the locals cutting trees for firewood so I've heard from the guy collecting the money at start, someone needs to come and invest in this place for entertainment like the red barn in Irene, Centurion they can utilize the trees for tree climbing entertainment for kids, and so forth, cause this is an...

Not worth the drive...it's ok for stretching your legs or walking a dog if you stay close. Dilapidated structure used as Toilets, disgusting.. Initially we planned to do the 15km hike but ended up doing 10km since it felt like we were moving in circles.. The trail is absolutely boring, nothing to see, we didn't even take 1 picture, that's how uninspiring it was.. Its an easy trail (with ups here and there, on a koppie), over grown with fallen tress and dog litter. no shop on site, nothing so bring everything you will need.. There are picnic spots and a play area which were overgrown. It looks like the owner doesn't give 2 cents for this place.. The entrance fee is absolutely ridiculous (R65) considering the state of this property(ticket valid for 7 days) will never go back ever again... A total waste of time...

Nice place. Maybe I might visit again. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because I ran into 4 aggressive dogs. Well, one of them was semi-aggressive and the other two are from the farm, locked in a yard, but then again, it's a fence. Anything can happen. I think dogs need to be screened before jumping on the trail. Most people had to hold their dog as I passed. I'm guessing this beautiful trail doesn't get packed because of this. The trail is not too hectic, but I definitely wouldn't recommend the 15KMs for any unfit people. No nasty surprises on the trail.

5Km, 10km and 15km hiking trails available. For the dog lovers this is such a great place to bring them along and you don’t have to pay for your dog. Weekly entrance fee R100.00 per adult Weekend entrance fee R65.00 per adult Monthly entrance fee R280.00 per adult Inclines are not hectic at all. I’d say it’s a bit rocky. Beautiful plants along the way and a water stream after 5kms on the 10Km trail. Definitely a trail I’d go for again soon. Quite an easy hike for avid hikers. There are awesome benches and braai areas to relax by after the beautiful trail.
