It's a really great place to visit. The entrance is R40 per person. There is security at the entrance. You can take a lovely walk around the area and see the animals. There's plenty of trees that create shaded areas where you can have a braai and picnic. The area is bigger than it appears to be so walk/drive around until you find a spot you like. They have buck that roam freely. The rest of the animals are in enclosures (sheep, goats, birds, turtle, rabbits, pigs, ostriches, horses and chickens). You can feed them fresh fruit and vegetables. There is a reptile park that has a variety of snakes, crocs, rock and water monitors, spiders, scorpions, gecko and more. It is open from 8am until midnight (the security at the gate confirmed that they're open until midnight although the signs say they close at 4pm, so you can ignore those). There are no stores or restaurants so bring your own refreshments. It is family friendly and safe and has a playground for kids. It is clean, well maintained and has bins...

Beautiful place to take your family or friends for an outing. If you have an event you can book for a private function at one of the 3 venues. I have personally had my parent's 25 anniversary at the Grootstaal, my sister's 21st at the Kleinstaal and my son's 3rd birthday at the Piet Lapa. Each venue is versatile and has good facilities including braai areas, toilets, serving areas, ample parking space for guests, electricity, etc and the venue is yours until midnight. There is enough space to also hire your own entertainment eg: jumping castles. Just be careful, it is still a public park and gate crashing is up to you to control. Decorations are also very necessary if doing a venue hire as the venue itself was previously an animal shelter. Prices...

A beautiful relaxing environment for both adults and kid's. There's farm with animals to entertain the kid's a small reptile centre. Play area with swings for the kid's. If you're a parent you can braai and socialise with other's as well as keep an eye on your kid's while they play right in front of you. Toilet facilities are clean and neat and available enough space to have you're picnic beautiful deer's that literally come so close u could almost touch them. This gives a surreal relaxed adventurous atmosphere. Just be careful they don't come too close coz they might try to snatch your food or snacks lol. Overall it's a pleasing environment. And only requires a small fee of R30 but the safety n...
