Yesterday marked my 49th birthday, a day imbued with both joy and sorrow. It was the first time I celebrated without the loving presence of my dear mother.

The morning commenced with tears, as her absence tugged at my heartstrings. However, as the day unfolded, my tears gradually subsided, and I found solace in treasured memories of my mother.

Eventually, my day culminated in a radiant smile, thanks to the extraordinary experience I had at Zebra Safaris in Rayton. Meeting these majestic creatures, zebras, who hold a special place in my heart, filled me with profound happiness.

This year, I made a conscious decision to invest in experiences that bring me true joy, realising the importance of indulging in life's pleasures after years of hard work.

Material possessions hold little allure for me; it is encounters like this that enrich my existence. While a week in Spain would undoubtedly be marvelous, I choose to embrace and appreciate what I have in the present moment.

This birthday celebration will forever be etched in my memory. Lila, the owner of Zebra Safaris, went above and beyond to make the day truly exceptional. Engaging with these magnificent zebras nourished my soul, reminding me of the significance of humility and the value of living each day to its fullest.

Lila from Zebra Safaris welcomed us with a big smile! We immediately felt welcome and excited for our adventure. She gave us a tour around the farm and told us all about her animals. It was very interesting and informative. The interaction with Nandi and Nyamazan was amazing! They can do a few tricks and they love people. We were given enough information to understand how Zebra's are, they are very well taken care of and the Zebras adores Lila! We celebrated our one year anniversary on her farm and she made it very special for us. Nyamazan can smile and it makes beautiful and fun photos! We had a blast and will be talking about this day for many years to come. This is a well worth it visit and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature, animals, people looking for something different to experience or to celebrate an occasion or date! We had the best day playing with the zebras and getting our pictures taken. Lila and her crew set up a table for my daughter's birthday and she let us spend as much time as we wanted there. The zebras are so special and sweet, and it was such a wonderful experience. Each booking is a private party, so it makes it a very special experience. Lila even let us see the baby zorse (zebra + horse)....
