Absolutely loved being so close to the sea! Quick and easy access for turtle viewing with local guides. The camp is rustic but not "ew!" But be prepared to share the facilities with all manner of creatures ;) Note: the road to Bhanga Nek is accessible without a 4x4 but I wouldn't recommend it. There is a stretch of corrugated dirt road that will make your car want to put itself for sale on Gumtree when you get home πŸ˜€ Also, if you're taking eggs, make sure they are individually bubble-wrapped. Overall, a lovely off grid experience. We took a battery pack and solar panels to keep the fridge running. And don't expect to post your pics on Facebook till after you've left. I would love to visit again but only after we've...

A beautiful spot with lovely beach, warm ocean and friendly people. In the downside, the tents are very run down and facilities are basic basic. The place needs attention for sure and someone wanting the little luxuries of life will not like it! Getting there is also tough. We took 12 hours from JHB inclusive of 2 hours to cover the last part from Manguzi (getting stuck a few times along the way). This is a spot for people who are prepared to put up with some challenges for the rewards of being in an unspoilt, tropical beach...

What a great community camp site. We arrived later than expected and the staff came after honking our horn iff nobody was there as advised when we booked via the web. Camp site litter free. Ablutions despite being basic were clean and shower heads all working hot water via the donkey boiler always hot thanks to the community staff on site. Pristine beach on our last morning we went for an early morning 8 k walk and found the community sweeping the beaches collecting all the litter. I would definitely recommend...

Amazing venue. Probably the most beautiful beach I've ever visited, within easy walking distance from the beach camp. Good snorkelling, although challenging unless the sea is calm amd the tide lowish. Lovely camp set in lush tropical forest. Very basic chalets which can be a bit hot on summer nights. Friendly staff.
