Read moreMy husband, myself and my sister visited Cumberland as a pilgrimage to my late mother who was born there and lived on the farm till her late teens. She never stopped speaking about the beauty of the place and I truly believe it was her happiest place on earth. What a joy to discover how John and Stella have rehabilitated the farm and turned itâs natural beauty into a sanctuary for everyone to enjoy. A kinder couple would be hard to find. They have been in the area for many years (Stella - all her life) and their love of the land is translated so well into all they have done. Candice, who works there, greeted us warmly, even coming to the picnic site to find us and tell us we could check in early. When we forgot to bring our own towels she provided some spare ones cheerfully. We stayed at the Zebra cottage which used to be my grandfathers workshed and over looked the dormitory that used to be his dairy. Everything was spotless and the views over the gorges were nothing less than spectacular. I couldnât recommend this very special place more highly. Itâs a place you go to feed clear your head and feed your soul -...
Read moreWow wow wowwww. What a stunning private Nature Reserve nestled right on our doorstep near Pmb. The accommodation was all we needed and very comfortable. The Horseshoe self catering cottage was surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and wildlife. Very comfortable bedding and my family loved the open plan cottage. Grounds around the whole reserve whether at picnic spots or cottages or camping were perfectly kept and clean. The animals and birdlife is just outstanding. Lovely short and medium walk/ hikes were fun with stunning views of the gorge etc. How nice our early morning alarm clocks were, a group of 5 Fish Eagles moaning at each other early every morning. This has been a top experience for our whole family. And the personal night walks hosted by private guide John, were a treasure trove of information none of us has ever experienced. Candice you are a star at running and keeping it all going, well done indeed. We hope to be back. We loved it so much. Well worth anybody's time please give it a go. Definitely highly...
