You know it's really disappointing to see the much loved Turkish restaurant and the food quality decline over the 5 years we've been visiting there.
Just yesterday, Father's Day there was only one waiter on hand, running like a headless chicken seeing to our table of 12 guests and other tables too.
For a mixed grill platter that was ordered @ R1200. there was not much items on it, as ordered on previous visits, waste of money....really.
Food is really overly priced for the serving portions.
Mostly dried chicken wings and chicken skewers,Tough meat skewers, very watery kebabs with a whole lot of grilled tomatoes, all of which(food platter) arrived cold to the table. The star of that platter was the chips, mind you we could actually count how chips many were there too. Food tendered to be extremely late from starters to dessert even though the place was relatively quiet.
I cannot fault the Pide and Lahmacun Those were still very tasty.
The kunefe although looked good was dry, not enough syrup was added and also arrived cold.
The management and waiting staff always seems to be changed on each occasion that we visited the restaurant, and it's definitely not for the better.
I can definitely say that this visit to the Restaurant would be our last.
The stars given on this review are mostly for The only great part of the visit, which was the great outdoors.....
We do love that it's a peaceful environment, very well maintained gardens/park, great for the kids with lots of space to play....with swings,a jungle gym with slide....and a jumping castle.....etc.
They have little enclosures on the property with a few animals and birds even if I'm not a fan of creatures being enclosed, they did look healthy.
The views are breathtaking with a pond sizable that has Swans...
Read moreI will definitely give the landscaping and area a 5 star as it was tranquil and beautifully maintained. However coming all the way from Durban to PMB on the 02/01/2023, the restaurant was understaffed and from what we could gather, those who were already waiting for their order were waiting pretty long. I do understand it was a public holiday + lack of staff is becoming a very common business problem however a business should be prepared for an influx of visitors on the public holidays. My family and I explored the gardens 😍😍😍 and made our way to the restaurant only to observe the other customers coming into the kitchen to ask “how much longer?” We sat at our table for approximately 10minutes without ANYONE attending to us. Two long rows of approx. 20 people each sat waiting for their meals and it only left my family of 5 to realise that we will be waiting pretty long for our 1. order to be taken & 2. For our meals to be prepared. We decided to leave (that means, drive back to Dbn). My point… under the circumstances I can understand as to why the restaurant could not operate efficiently however, the owners and managers should take my, and similar customer’s, experience as a lesson to improve the customer service and be prepared for the demand. Everything...
Read moreA day that was meant to be fun-filled, turned sour. When ill-mannered baby boy spits on my daughter face, when I reprimand the child the owner/parent came and told me that I hit his son where-as the boy lied and he had audacity to mention that his son can’t talk proper English. Good manners has no Language, He’s failing to teach his child manners and respect for others.I will never set foot in their premises. He could have handled matter better but he lacks professionalism and that since he owners the place we must take whatever treatment they give us.
From the moment we arrived the child came riding his scooter following us, I didn’t mind that but When his was being mean doing distasteful things to my child 😡. We all bring kids to our work place but we don’t condone bad behaviour
Their place is beautiful. We received bad...
