The Cecelia Forest Hiking Trail is a hidden gem in Cape Town, offering a peaceful escape into nature just a stone's throw from the bustling city. I recently visited this trail with my friends, and it quickly became one of our favorite hiking spots.

The trail itself is surrounded by lush forest, with towering trees and dense vegetation providing a cool, shaded atmosphere throughout the hike. We found the path to be well-maintained and easy to navigate, making it accessible for hikers of all levels. The trail meanders through the forest, with a variety of scenic viewpoints offering stunning vistas of Cape Town and the surrounding mountains.

What really stood out to us was the tranquility of the place. The sounds of birdsong and the rustling of leaves created a serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. There are also some more challenging sections of the trail, providing a good workout while still being manageable for casual hikers.

The Cecelia Forest trail is also a great spot for those looking to experience the natural beauty of the Table Mountain National Park without the crowds that often populate other popular spots. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the incredible views, made for an unforgettable hike.

Overall, the Cecelia Forest Hiking Trail is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to explore the outdoors in Cape Town. Whether you’re after a relaxing walk in nature or a more invigorating hike, this trail offers the perfect balance of both. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area away...

Cecelia Forest Hiking Trail is located between Kirstenbosch Garden's Top Gate and Constantia Nek.

There are many trails to choose from, and some are probably ventured more than others, and there are those more suited to the fitter and more adventurous individual. Choices are Jeep tracks and single track trails. Fantastic routes for walkers, hikers, runners, family outings - with or without the dogs.

Getting to experience the beauty of Cape Town and all of its natural appeal, this is a must. As one traverses the undulating terrain, the extensive views across False Bay and surrounds changes with every turn.

To escape the hustle and bustle of life, a regular outing to this incredible place is essential for one's spirit.

Entrance is free, and donations are welcome. The friendly car guard at the parking area always has a...

Cecelia Forest Hiking trail is fun for everyone. It varies in terms of difficulty depending on which trail you decide to pursue. While I enjoy the tough trails like Skeleton Gorge and Nursery Ravine, the path to the waterfalls suffices as well. These trails can be enjoyed at your own pace as you don't need to walk too far to enjoy the fairytale of the forest. In winter, it's absolutely stunning with the waterfalls. I highly recommend you...

A really good spot to hike up table mountain. If you go up the trail, it’s easy enough to do. Otherwise you can go up the dirt track/cement road. Views are magnificent. Get there early if you want a parking. The car guard is very friendly. Trails are well marked. Also a nice spot to do some trail runs
