Always epic, no matter the weather. Take a drive...you won't regret it. We saw dolphins cavorting in the surf, other times we have seen whales. Bit of a scramble down to the beach if you want to go down but worth it.

Caves there are a great attraction and well worth a visit, go at low tide so you can safely access them, and keep an eye on those waves. It is possible to get trapped in or around the last large cave.....historically where a thief named Dappat hid cattle he stole from local farmers. You'll love the pics you can get from inside the cave...super fun!

Parking area can get packed, with baboons regularly nosing around. Popular surf spot. Lifeguards and shark spotters on duty. Swimming only advisable where indicated due to...

Tried reaching the biggest cave. Low tide was at 8 AM. High tide 2.00 PM. We arrived around 10.30 AM. By then it was already no longer possible to reach the largest cave, at least without getting your feet wet. Didn't want to run the risk to get trapped in as the sea was rough so didn't go for it. Pretty area and beach. To reach the caves, from the free parking bays along the street, take the steps going down on the right side leading to the wooden footbridge. It's the path without the blue sign next to it. It will lead you straight to the part of the beach where the caves are. Really go at the lowest tide to be able to make it to the cave. No lifeguards or other people present when we were there...

One of the nicest beaches in Cape Town. kind of secluded its a steep walk down. Not recommended for people that have trouble climbing stairs or navigating some rocks. The trek down and back uo is worth it. clear mountain water stream to walk over, beautiful scenic walk down. Beach itself is surrounded by rock cliff faces with natural caverns. Small streams of water drip from the cliffs creating a natural shower even in dry months. No braais, alcohol or dogs. Which is kinda nice there are plenty other beaches one can go to for that. Stunning sunsets. Water feels warmer than blouberg. There are 2 paths down from the parking, this is the one on the right when facing the ocean. Worth the...
