Oudekloof Wine Estate — Attraction in Witzenberg Local Municipality

So after booking a 2 day stay with you guys, thinking I'd enjoy my stay; was I sorely mistaken!!! Spiders and webs under the bed, dead critters behind the bed, ants all over the walls, blinds filthy, tables and counters plagued with dusty , a dirty fridge, and dirty cups. I spoke with the owners about how unhappy I was that everything was in such a disgraceful state and I was assured a refund of R1900, bear in mind I was there for 4 hours from arrival. Most of the time spent in town trying to get food because you don't specify that is a self catering establishment. I waited two weeks for this refund to be processed and even got booking.com involved and you guys are refusing it! I'm appalled that you so easily post pictures from years ago that clearly do not live up to the standard. After driving on the terrible dirt road from Montpellier Wine Estate to your farm , we arrived to find thar your Restaurant has closed down and the Wine Tasting room was also closed down. We were informed by the only person at your facilty that OudeKloof only caters for Walk and Wine Escursions now. We wasted our time travelling to your farm as everything looked really abandoned in high season. Before travelling , we searched your website and were attracted to beautiful pictures on your website. What a gem, highly recommend this wine farm experience. The stunning scenery located at the foot of the Tulbagh mountains. The wine tasting was with the owners Andrew and his lovely wife. They really have some serious wines that are so delicious but super down to earth owners who take the time to explain their passion. Loved the Chenin Blanc with a real oak taste which was remarkable, the Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon were my favorites. Beautiful grounds and gardens, we visited for a day trip whilst in Tulbagh, but can’t wait to actually stay here in one of their beautiful cottages. We will do definitely be back!
