This is one of my favourite place to go when I'm around here. Though sometimes crowded with visitors, the temple itself has so serene an air that I feel my mind is cleared, and has old tradition in regard to the famous buddhist monks in Korea.
They run "Temple stay" program that provides bed(actually "Ondol") and vegetarian meals and helps take part in some buddhist ceremonies for very reasonable price.

To reach it, you’ll park your car at the base, then hop on a shuttle bus for a scenic 15-minute ride (just 2,500 won each way). For those with extra time and energy, there’s also a 2-hour hike option, if you’re feeling up for the adventure!
The journey itself adds to the magic. By the time you arrive, you’re already steeped in the peace and serenity of the mountains, making every step feel like a gentle retreat from everyday life. Baekdamsa is truly a place to breathe deep and find...

It cant be described so just go...
