This place is the cheapest ($30 cheaper than Konjiam, similar distance from Seoul, about 2 hours away).
Very accessible with all equipments (board, ski, boots), clothes and lockers at the same place. Ticket booths, restaurants and restroom are nearby too.
If you’re foreigners, book your trip through trazy website for a great discount ($60 after all deduction). There are 5 slopes here compared to 4 in Konjiam. Great worth of time and money. The place was not crowded even on saturday (I gues because it’s the end of the season(?)). If you’re Koreans without foreigner passports then book it through TMON (티몬) for the best discount ($65).
I enjoyed it very much. The only complaint if any (and that’s the reason I gave it 4*) was because ONE of the staff in the retal room is very unfriendly to us foreigners. He didn’t even bother helping or explaining, always kept a straight face, gave me a boots and told me I have ONLY one chance to try it and cannot change. If course it’s not true because we can change (and my friend did) few times until seeing them fit. The place was even not crowded with few guests at that time but he’s very cold. I told him the boots he gave me have problem, he didn’t even bother to look at them (wow) and looked me in the eyes saying “they are normal”. I had to pull the guts out of the boots to fix it and found that the inside was someone distorted, luckily I got it fixed. Thanks to his colleague though, that guy was nice to us all the time and spoke English well. The rude guy spoke English too but didn’t bother to try until his friend did it first.
Anyway, we had a great time here. Make sure to bring some coins for the lockers (1000 won / time, cheaper than Konjiam 1500 won / time).
Thanks...
Read moreFor foreigners as beginners, ensure that you don’t get any injury. It was a nightmare for me. I stayed at the condominium there from 1st Jan - 3rd Jan 2025. 2nd Jan I took ski lessons, and did well for a first timer. However, lift got stuck when come to the top of the hill.. One staff (inexperienced) pulled me from the lift (had about 1 feet gap from the feet to the ground) with ski plates on my feet and I fell down. Even though the lift was stopped at this point of time, he was rushing to pulled me back up and lift me with 1 hand.. it was imbalance and I wasn’t ready to get up.. then my right knee got twisted.. heard the cracking sound and I had a black out.. One staff took me downstairs to the emergency room. But there were no doctors, only nurses.. but they were not so nice. They were rude and was not willing to help. Didn’t understand any English. Anyway, I just finished MRI scan.. and this simple action from an immature person broke my ACL and now I need to go...
Read moreTerrible Service Experience at Elysian Ski Resort, Korea. The queuing problem at the resort was completely out of control. The lack of proper management led to chaos and disorder, making it impossible to navigate through the lines efficiently. As a result, there were instances of children running, crashing into other tourists. This kind of behavior is not only dangerous but also unacceptable in a public space. The resort's failure to manage the queue system effectively is a significant concern that needs to be addressed urgently. Additionally, I was appalled by the rude and unprofessional behavior displayed by some of the staff members. Their lack of basic courtesy and respect further exacerbated the negative experience. Moreover, the English proficiency of the staff was noticeably low. Communication became extremely challenging, making it difficult to convey my concerns effectively and receive...
