We spent two days at Legoland Chuncheon Theme Park and also stayed overnight at the Legoland Hotel. If your kids are below 9 years old, I think they will enjoy it. However, if they're older, they may find that the rides are not as challenging as they expected from a theme park. The park itself is not that big, so 6 hours should be enough to explore every corner. We stayed overnight because we wanted to experience the hotel. The room was great, big, spacious, and clean. However, the bathroom design could have been more modern, considering they had the grand opening in 2022.
We had the buffet dinner at the hotel as we didn't have any other options. We paid 140,000 Korean won, which, in my opinion, is quite expensive for the type of food that we had. I mean, with that kind of budget, we could have gotten a nice korean BBQ meal. I felt disappointed with the food options during the buffet. It's like paying for a Bentley but getting a Toyota.
The location of the theme park was also a bit of a turn-off, making us less likely to want to visit again. The resort provides a free shuttle bus to go back and forth from Chuncheon Station to Legoland Resort. However, when we were going back from the resort to Chuncheon Station, we had to wait for the bus under the blistering sun. There was no undercover bus stop. They should have known that their main demographic of their customers is young family. Waiting for the bus without any protection from the sun, with 2 young childrens was not really putting a positive note for the overall exprience. They should have thought this through better.
Overall, it was an okay experience. The resort is safe and clean for kids. However, there is definitely room for improvement to make visitors feel more awesome.
Pro Tip: If you are a tourist and staying at the Legoland Hotel for one night, I would recommend you to take away some food prior at Yongsan Station, assuming you are using ITX train, prior to arrival at the hotel. Otherwise, you may not have any other option other than having the buffet dinner at the...
Read moreI actually never go to another Legoland in another country. Before I decided to go here, I already searched and fully aware that this place is not suitable for adults who like rides, adventure rides. It is mostly suitable for kids, young kids. Of course if you are a fan of lego, this resort is a must visit. The parking lot is very big. I do not know exactly why the parking staff directed people to park quite far, about 5 min from the resort. But they provided shuttle bus (mini van) where you can take it for free. I prefer to walk though. The parking is NOT FREE! So surprised! I paid 10,500 for more than 4 hours parking (less than 5 hours). The tickets were 35,000 per person. Here you CAN NOT USE CASH. They only accept CARDS. For foreigner who want to visit here, you must bring cards (if you are planning to buy this and that in the shop 😉). My son could only ride one ride, which was not fun at all coz it is too difficult for him to pull the rope by himself. And I was not with him to help him pull the rope while other younger kids were with their mom or dad. The first thing to do is to go to the creative workshop area and register for the workshop. They have two kinds of workshop for younger and for older kids. Even so, the workshop was too easy and boring for my son. The most interesting area is the miniland. Where you can see korea's famous landmarks from each city, Seoul Busan Gwangju Jeju etc. So amazing! Everything is very detail. I am not sure why Ninjago area also doesnt operate that day but we can still enter the area. But the entrance of Lego Castle was even closed! Inside the lego Castle, I can see small roller coaster, if this place was opened, maybe my son would have been happier. Hmm.. overall I wont visit this place twice....
Read moreLEGOLAND Korea Resort is a colorful and fun destination, especially for families with young children. My toddler absolutely loved it here and enjoyed exploring the rides and attractions, even though she couldn’t participate in many activities independently. The vibrant LEGO-themed environment makes it a magical experience for kids.
As a Foreign Independent Tourist (FIT) traveling with kids, getting to LEGOLAND can be a bit of a challenge. Spare some extra time for traveling and navigating. Google Maps is not very reliable for public transportation in Korea, especially for bus and train schedules. We left the hotel in the morning but didn’t arrive at LEGOLAND until late afternoon because of navigation issues. The train ticket machine doesn’t accept overseas credit cards, which added another layer of inconvenience. On top of that, there were no discounts available for being late, so we had to pay the full gate ticket price.
I visited on a weekday during winter, which meant no lines, making the experience more relaxed. The theme park staff were very helpful and could communicate in English, which was a relief given the overall difficulty with language barriers elsewhere.
The park itself is well-maintained and filled with LEGO-themed attractions, such as a carousel, driving courses, and interactive playgrounds. Even though my toddler couldn’t play everything, she loved the vibrant atmosphere and the rides she could enjoy with my help.
Overall, LEGOLAND Korea is a delightful experience for kids, but foreign visitors should prepare for the logistical challenges of getting there. Despite the hurdles, the joy it brought to my toddler made it...
