The place is huge and is a great location to spend hiking around the area or experience a different religion. There is lots of walking involved so make sure to bring water with you it you may get some from either the shops or spring in the middle of the temple grounds. To get to the big statue, its a 10min walk down to the location from the main entrance. Once there you will see a giant temple and a big statue of the Buddha. Around the statue are other deities that are carved into stone. This place has an underground (air conditioned) area for religious artifacts, art, teachings, and meditation room. There is also a circular room for praying and donations to have a hand-carved piece of wood put onto the wall by a master. The effects of this cause an image to be seen once put together with other carvings. The other half of the grounds is a restaurant, smaller shines, and quarters for the monks who reside there. Overall a real great place to visit for a day trip

My first temple stay experience. Had a great stay. Close to nature. I have my own room. Love the silent and close to nature

The temple and the location is very beautiful and peaceful .The only stay available for us was the โ€˜restโ€™ or โ€˜recuperationโ€™ stay, it was a shame because I didnโ€™t learn one thing about Buddhism, I had hoped to get a chance to speak with a monk. The staff are kind, the food is good (you eat with the people that work at the temple, the gardeners and servers). The room for sleeping was extremely hot, but they provide a fan, which helps. So many birds singing all day, which was very lovely. The temple grounds are vast and there are plenty of walks in...

It was breathtaking. It had been raining most of the day which brought in cooler air. It is a steep climb up stairs to reach the top. Worth every step. Clouds were low drifting past the trees. It was quiet and very relaxing. Absolutely beautiful. That would be the dream vacation. Live up in the mountains away from all the noise. It was just beautiful. Take a camera because the statues, the scenery, the...
