The Shrine of Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park — Attraction in Geoje-si

Had a walk from Deokpo Beach to here which is about 1.5km-2km. The walk was pleasant with some hikes here and there and most importantly the view was amazing. The whole return journey took about an hour and it was great.

Arrived at the top up to the monument and will be coming back to explore the temple, swing and the museum soon!

There are some exercising tools available at the top and the trail wasn’t that busy maybe due to the cold windy weather. But can still see some friendly ahjussis and ahjummas walking...

Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park was built in 1996 to commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-sin's first victory of the Okpo Battle during the Imjin War (1592-1598). Nice park and walking trail, museum of the battle, good view of the Okpo harbor, toilets available, access to the ocean (very trashy at this location when I went, but it was not long after a storm), access to the seawall and fishing.
