I attended the Linkin Park concert last October. The arena and the adjacent resort are very new and beautiful, seats are comfortable, and it was also easy to pick up the tickets that I ordered.
The arena itself is close to Incheon airport and therefore far away from Seoul, so you need more than an hour by train plus a free shuttle from the airport. Going there was without any problems while returning back was very stressful. I can speak Korean, so I asked the staff where to get a shuttle back to the airport from where I could get a train back to Seoul, but they didn't know.
It was around 10 pm when I got out of the arena, and I thought that I still had enough time to catch a train back to Seoul. The security guard showed me a way to a bus stop where a shuttle supposedly went from, and there was already a line of people. We were waiting there for quite a while without any information. At the same time I tried booking an Uber or Kakao taxi to get to the airport. I could see available riders, but no one accepted my ride.
After a bus arrived there we were informed that this was the last bus and we were told to go to another bus stop. When I got there, I was basically in the back of the line, and due to traffic congestion, the shuttles were coming with a big delay. Eventually, when I was able to get back to the airport, I had already missed the last train back to Seoul. There are some night busses available, but I would have to wait for more time and the busses don't go near the area where I was staying. In the end, I had to take an expensive Uber back.
Hopefully, they could improve the transportation between the venue...

Unfortunately some other things are not so great.
there is no train connection - this means you either go by car and pay 5k per 30 mins for parking or you grab a taxi
after a concert you are basically stranded here. 10.000 people are trying to get out of here by taxi or bus. So be sure to plan at least 1h to get to the nearby airport to get the train into the city. - by the way, last train leaves a few minutes before midnight. If you are unlucky you are stranded at the airport. Good luck figuring out which bus to take.
Security - no security checks in here. Which means, everyone carries backpacks and other stuff into the venue without being checked beforehand. Furthermore, only one entrance into the arena exists where 15.000 people are leaving through the only main entrance after a show. In case of emergency or panic no way people will be able to leave through the emergency exists without panic or accidents.
Seriously I hope somebody reads this and fixes this...
Read moreAbsolutely a terrible venue for a concert. Middle of nowhere and so difficult to access this place by public transit. One shuttle bus an hour max capacity of 45 from the airport is beyond unacceptable for a concert with over 13,000 people. Acoustics leave a lot to be desired and there seemed to be a slight delay with the video screen and light show. It’s really really hard to believe that this place was purpose built to host concerts. If you plan on attending a concert here absolutely spend the extra 30 bucks and take the private shuttle...
