If you have enough time and interesting birch forest or at last loved hiking, this place is not bad for you. Actually this place going to famous by tv show 'one night two days' location here.

From parking place to birch forest are a bit far. Have 2 way to birch forest. One is a bit farther than other one. But walking up nice forest and have small stream and more fun. It take 1and 20min by slow and easy walking. Short way is just take 45min to birch forest but just boring. Aug 2016 road work for paved. So when it's done may have shuttle bus or some...

Very nice hiking area and the birch trees are beautiful even in the winter! Before entering need to purchase the traction grips for shoes if you already don’t have one for 5,000 Korean Won. They don’t let you go up without it for safety reasons. Nice scenery when you go up the hills. The trees are absolutely beautiful to see. Parking is kind of rough because it is a popular hiking spot and parking lots are full so I had to park at a random side road. No admissions to enter which...

This place is truly one of a kind in Korea. It's the only birch forest in the country, nestled in the mountains of Gangwon province. Getting there is easy if you have a private or rented car. It's a bit more challenging with public transportation, but not impossible. You can take a bus from DongSeoul terminal to Inje terminal and then catch a taxi to the forest. Just keep in mind that there are only a few buses that run between Inje terminal...

Most of the park is closed until end of Feb due to weather. We had to walk 2.7km slightly uphill one way and back. At the end, you finally enter the birch forest and can walk around a 300m loop. Crampons or snow chains is a must. Not really worth the effort in my opinion. Would suggest going to seoraksan instead if you could.

Amazing scenery at the birch forest. The route to the forest is rather steep and slippery (during winter) along the way. Do take a walking stick at the entrance which will help to make your climb easier. Worth the effort to climb up to see such an beautiful birch forest.
