Jeju Olle Trail - Route 17 (Gwangnyeong - Old Downtown of Jeju-si) — Attraction in Jeju

Wow, what an adventure! Beautiful coastal sights, you'll be constantly pulling out your camera for the countless photo opportunities!

Be warned, while not a challenging walk for elevation changes, this is a super Loooonnngg walk...18.4 km!

I suggest going at a nice pace and stopping at the several cafes, stores and sightseeing places along the way.

The last 3km were killer for me...sheer pride made me finish. My legs were cramping at the end and I am still sore today (1 day after!).

This trail passes many beaches, bridges, lighthouses, countless cafes, touristy stores, the Jeju airport, and the list goes on...

I definitely recommend this trail. The coastal views are spectacular!

I found myself so thankful and quite obsessed towards the end with the blue and orange Olle markers. It was all worth it once the trail opened up to the Dongmun Traditional Market.

I shopped and ate like I was celebrating something...like a 18+ km...

2월 말 4코스를 계획하고 제주에 갔는데... 날씨 상황도 그렇고 갑작스런 자료요청에 호텔방에서 일만하다 올라온게 억울해서 당일치기로 가능한, 제주공항에서 가까운 17코스를 급선택 하여 도전... 버스로 출발점을 찾아가는 길에 우겨곡절도 있었지만 출발지인 광령1리 사무소에서 외도까지는 비교적 완만한 내리막길이라 좋고, 외도 부터는 거의 해안도로를 따라 걸어서 좋음. 특히 해안도로는 익숙한 길이지만 차가 아닌 도보로 이용하다보니 새로운 느낌! 중간 즈음에 있는 도두봉은 야산 정도에 불과하지만 저질체력자가 거의 8~9km이상 걷고 오르자니 살짝 힘에 부침 ㅠㅠ. 하지만 오르고 나면 한라산과 제주 바다를 볼수 있는 전망대에서 보는 제주공항 활주로에서의 이착륙 광경은 참 볼만함. 여튼 완만한 내리막을 내려와 외도부터는 도두봉을 제외하면 거의 완만한 코스로 이루어져 크게 부담 없이 다닐...
