Dodamsambong Peaks — Attraction in North Chungcheong

There are 8 famous sceneries in Danyang city, South Korea. They are called Danyang 8 sceneries. Dodam3bong is the 7th scenery. Around the lake, we can take a walk and take pictures. Some are enjoying the boat on the river. Pudding rather than praise. After having meal near the K-food restaurant, We can reach the '만천하스카이워크' to take 10minutes by car. A really beautiful place which have their own stories about the three stone peaks that are rising out from Namhangang River. The biggest rock is called Janggunbong (Husband Rock), the rock on the left side which appears to be showing coquetry is called Cheopbong (Mistress Rock), and the rock on the right side which is turning away from the big rock is called Cheobong (Wife Rock). The peaks are said to represent an angry wife turning away from her husband who has taken a concubine in order to secure a male heir. It is said that Jeong Do-jeon, a politician who made contributions to the establishment of the Joseon Dynasty, spent his young days here and used 'Sambong' as his pen name. Dodamsambong Peaks, one of the ‘must visit’ sites of DanYang is accessible by car, bus or on foot.

On-site is a large parking lot, bathroom, tourist info office and restaurants and snack shops.

Nearby are multiple pavilions/restaurants areas. The grounds are also covered with beautiful trees and flowers.

If coming on foot from DanYang via the pedestrian path along the river, there is a ‘No Entry’ sign. It’s ignored by locals according to representatives from the tourist office.
