Songnisan is located about 15 minutes from Boeun by either taxi, or bus which runs frequently. One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been on. Wonderful scenery everywhere! The views at the top are breathtaking to say the least. There are several temples throughout the hike. Halfway to the top there is another buddhist temple. On the ridge and also at the base of the mountain there are rest areas that serve food. This is one of the more popular hiking destinations in South Korea. What makes this park worth visiting is the combination of the natural beauty/hiking and the history. Beopjusa Temple is almost without parallel in all of Korea, and combining that with the beauty of the various mountain peaks makes it a very worthwhile destination.
