Hanok Village if you appreciate traditional yet inspiring architects. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the sheer beauty and grandeur of the site. The views of the landscape and buildings were absolutely captivating, offering a panoramic look at the surrounding area that’s hard to find anywhere else.

The landmark itself is not only visually impressive but also rich in history. I appreciated the detailed informational signs and exhibits throughout the site, which provided fascinating insights into its historical significance. It was clear that a lot of effort has gone into preserving the site’s cultural heritage, and I left with a much deeper understanding of the region’s past.

The tour guide, aka Peter, was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting stories and answering questions with enthusiasm. It was clear they genuinely love what they do, which made the visit even more enjoyable. There were plenty of spots for taking beautiful photos, and the entire experience was well worth the time.

If you’re in the area here, why don’t you just stroll out here in a nice weather and gaze through the area. It’s a perfect blend of natural beauty and historical depth, making it ideal for history buffs, photographers, and anyone looking to explore something unique....

⭐ 2 stars because this is a housing complex where we can take photos on the street in front of the houses there.

🚫 We can't go inside, we can only enjoy the beauty from the outside.

ā€¼ļø It feels strange and awkward when we meet the residents or homeowners there when we are taking photos in front of their house or when we are photographing their house.

šŸ’Æ This is not a historic village, but rather a residential location where the houses are built using the historic style of houses with a modern style but still giving a traditional impression.

šŸ—» The view is even more beautiful with the mountains there.

šŸ‘‰šŸ» The view is more beautiful when seen from a height, so bring a drone if you want to get amazing photos or videos.

šŸ“ø Free to take pictures in the outdoor area of the houses there.

šŸ“ Quiet and peaceful location.

🧠 The South Korean government should build villages like this specifically as tourist areas, not residential areas that are used as tourist attractions! So that every visitor can enter the house and feel the atmosphere inside and not...

The architectural beauty of hanok structures continues to awe visitors to Korea, with many people including a trip to a hanok village on their itinerary. If you’ve already been toĀ Bukchon Hanok VillageĀ orĀ Jeonju Hanok VillageĀ but still want to see more, then plan some time in Eunpyeong Hanok Village! Despite being located within Seoul, this village maintains a slower, quieter ambiance where you can truly appreciate the beauty of hanok along with the majestic Bukhansan Mountain.

Eunpyeong Hanok Village was founded at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain in December 2014. Rather than restoring old hanok houses like most villages do, the area was completely created from scratch, becoming the largest neighborhood of new hanok houses in the metropolitan area.

The area has plenty of attractions to fill a half-day itinerary, from walking along forested trails on Bukhansan Mountain to visiting a temple and museum before enjoying a break at a cafƩ or restaurant with an...

not unlike other "villages" in Seoul, eunpyeong hanok embodies the following formula: - take an area where an ancient village used to be - rebuild houses in that area, matching the ancient architecture but with brand new materials and construction - sell the gaudy, tacky area to the new rich - now push tourists there letting them think there's an actual ancient village there. But when they are there and they flood the alleyways to take selfies in front of the glaringly fake buildings, present them with plenty of warnings not to be loud and not sit here, go there etc. There you go, now you have cheated both tourists and landlords. Success! - optional: have a museum where you display the real stuff, the archeological remnants from the original settlement I am letting Hanok have that 2nd star just because they executed (and quite well) on that optional point
