- 밤 산책겸 그동안 가보고 싶었던 영흥공원 방문 - 생각보다 넓고, 공원 구성이 좋네요. 요 공원 주변에 있는 아파트 살고 싶어요ㅜ - 밤이라 주변을 잘 못봤는데, 낮에 다시 와봐야겟습니다.

1969년에 공원으로 지정된 후 사업비 문제로 계획이 지연되던 중 2016년 민간자본 참여가 결정된 후 수원시와 민간자본이 2020년 8월부터 2년여의 공사 끝에 2022년 10월 26일 개장한 수원 최초의 수목원을 품은 공원이다. 면적은 수목원을 포함해 506,808 평방미터로 함께 조성된 수목원은 2023년 봄 개장을 준비중이다. 부속 시설로 영흥체육관, 제1주차장, 제2주차장(족구장), 테니스장, 인라인장 등을 갖추고 있으며 다양한 코스의 산책로가 잘 조성 되어 있어 산책하는 즐거움을 느낄수 있다. 또한 방문자센터 및 정자, 온실 건물 등의 아름다움과 함께 시민들을 위한 편의 시설이 잘 갖추어져 있어 수원의 명소로 자리 잡을 듯 하다.
