Of all the places I visited while in Tongyeong, this was my absolute favorite. I visited on May 3, 2018, a sunny, breezy day, the perfect weather for exploring the many paths to be found in the park. In fact, I was so enchanted by the trails and the glorious views that I ended up spending over four hours exploring them and actually returned to the entrance of the park so that I could check out some of the paths I hadn't taken earlier. The other reason I did so was to check out the museum, but despite the fact that I was there on a Thursday, when it was supposedly open, I found that not to be the case. On the one hand, since Lee Sun Shin is one of my heroes, I was a bit disappointed, however, on the other hand, the park itself was enough to keep me very satisfied. If I lived in Tongyeong, I could easily imagine visiting it at least weekly if not more frequently.
The only negative thing I have to say about the park is that I would never have found it if I hadn't been driven there by a local!
