Jangsaengpo Whale Museum, Ulsan — Attraction in Ulsan

Interesting complex of museum's, old whaling boat, cultural village, tram ride, old battleship, whale Watching tours, and other small areas of interest. We went when they had their annual "Whaling Festival" so there was live entertainment, beer festival, food festival and other items for children. There is onsite parking and small admission fee for some areas. Look in pictures and you can see a price list. About half of the display boards in the museum only have Korean storyboards that explain the whales, cultural tie in and so forth. That being said little children may be bored. But, to peak their interest their is a long slide that they can use to go from the third floor to the second where the exit is. The whaling boat is free to go on and just outside the entrance to the Museum. Also in the immediate area is the whale watching tours and entrance to the overhead Tram Ride to the cultural village. Museum of merine lives. You will discover new experience of deep sea creatures. They have dolphine shows also. Cruise experience of whale watching tour was awesome. If you cannot watch whale in the deep sea, which is very possible, they will compensate you by giving discounts on Museum tickets or some free shows! Besides, you can enjoy a ride to whale village just opposite to the museum. Behind the museum, there is a historical battle ship which you can explore. Ticket pricing is very cheap. Spent maybe an hour here and the museum gave us English pamphlets to read while we looked around. The museum is 3 floors, there's a restroom on each floor and an elevator as well. Ulsan had an old history of whale hunting and that history is portrayed here with the real maps, tools and even a part of the real ship that was used for it. The staircase walls had facts about whales written on it. Was looking for a section that maybe talked about Whale preservation but couldn't find it, didn't have enough time to look everywhere.
