별마로천문대 — Attraction in Yeongwol-eup

unforgettable positive impressions from visiting the Pyeolmaro Observatory.

Built on the top of Mount Bongnaesan (799.8 m) in Yeongwol-gun County, Pyeolmaro Observatory is the largest astronomical observatory in Korea, where you can observe the moon and stars with a main telescope with a diameter of 80 cm and additional telescopes.

It’s a pity that the entrance to the observatory was closed during the visit, but that’s okay. but we took a lot of cool photos with panoramic views...

Byeolmaro Observatory and Paragliding experience location at Yeongwol. One of the wonders of Yeongwol from where you can see the breathtaking views of Yeongwol. On a Morning of a cloudy day, you can experience being above the clouds. Unfortunately the observatory was closed that day so we were unable to see the museum inside.
