Praia Camaxe — Attraction in A Illa de Arousa

Great place, with an enormous open space for a lot of people taking into consideration the safety distances between groups of people.

You have an awesome view of the other side of the beach plus the bridge for the entrance and exit of the island. Now that summer ended you wont be able to purchase anything on the beach however if you like the water, and been able to bath completely by your self or you and your companions, this is the perfect time before it gets too cold, just take a portable cooler, fill it up with drinks, ice, something to munch (eat or snakc) a portable speaker o several if you like your music in stereo 🤪.

Bao-Camaxe has been awarded with a blue flag for several years now. The water is crystal clear, full of fish and life. Llegamos a Praia Camaxe el 19 de septiembre del 2013 cuando pasaban unos minutos de la 11 de la mañana y la playa, en marea baja, estaba repleta de mariscadoras extrayendo almejas. Era el momento de inmortalizar la escena y disparé la primera fotografía a las 11:24 horas. Lo que en ese momento no sabía, en qué hacia 14 minutos que la fase lunar estaba en el punto máximo de la luna llena, lo que había ocasionado que la bajamar se produjera en "marea viva de oposición" (cuando en la alineación del sol, de la tierra y de la luna, la tierra se encuentra en medio de los otros dos astros). Dicho esto solo queda comentar que Praia Camaxe es una de las 56 bonitas playas que tiene la Illa de Arousa, que suman un total de 11 kilómetros...
