A good, fun family day out. The park is very picturesque as you drive up to it! If you arrive before opening time, you queue outside in your car. Once the barrier opens, it's a race as 5 lanes converge into one to drive the last couple of minutes to the car park! Parking is 5 euros which you pay for in the park. You are given a token which you use on the way out. At the entrance, we showed a member of staff our downloaded pre-paid tickets and were directed to one of two queues. Both queues, however, were trying to get through one gate. After getting nowhere for 10 minutes, the group behind us who also had pre-paid tockets went to the information office. They were allowed through immediately and gratefully waved us over to do the same!! There were 5 coaches full of school kids entering the park at the same time as us, so we made the decision to buy Fast Track passes at 14 euros each. Once in, we found a grassy area to put our towels. You cannot take picnics into the park, and there is a shaded picnic area. However, your bag is not searched, so if you wanted to take small snacks and water, I'm sure it would be ok! They say it is for health and safety, but you can buy food and drink right next to the pool area? The picnic area has lots of tables and chairs, is in the shade, and there is a kiosk selling ice cream and drinks. The park itself was clean and the rides were good fun. Some of them left you a bit sore as they seemed to have quite aggressive endings....resulting in you being thrown from your float or hitting various body parts off of the walls 😬 Our 7 year old children were able to go on all the attractions which was good. They went down the Black Hole together several times. On one occasion, as they came out of the slide, one child accidentally kicked the other in the face. He then slipped getting out of the pool, and fell quite hard onto the ground. The lifeguard rushed over to him to make sure he was ok. The lifeguards were very attentive and took notice of the kids as they left each ride. The park is very hilly, and it can be quite hard work carrying the floats to the top of each slide (admittedly, I am not very fit, however I would say I am of average ability!) The ground surface also gets very slippy so would definitely recommend shoes or sandals to wear. A lot of kids were coming down the slides with their sandals slipped over their forearms. I would also recommend the Fast Track passes. We did not have to queue to get our floats and were able to get to the front of the queue on half the slides, which was a real bonus. The amount of red fast track floats available shows that they definitely want you to buy the pass! Normally we wouldn't, but the park was very busy and it was very hot! There is a good variety of slides and attractions for young children which was great. The park was clean and there's space to lie on the grass and get some peace. It is a shame you have to walk to the picnic area but it's not a huge negative. Some of the rides were a bit sore so would recommend watching people get off them for a couple of minutes first before deciding to go on 😆 (I am a 47 year old with a bad back so form your own opinion obviously!!) We visited on 10th of July and it was very busy and noisy, however overall a good, fun family day out. As you leave the car park you pop your token in the barrier and away you go.

Aqualeon is a moderate size clean water park which offers good value when quiet. When busy the Fast Pass system means wait times for rides can be very lengthy. Aqualeon has a good selection of water rides and a medium sized wave pool. The rides vary from relatively sedate (Crazy Race) through to nail biting (Toboloko). The park is well maintained, clean and staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a pleasant children's splash area for smaller kids under 1 metre 30 who might not like the bigger, faster rides. There is a range of catering on site and a picnic area is provided adjoining the park with neat concrete tables. It is easy to keep your picnic in the car and then collect it and enjoy lunch, or to purchase lunch in the park. The park operates a Fast Pass system which has replaced the rental of tubes/rubber rings. You purchase Fast Pass for 12 euros per person on top of the entry fee. This means you can use the red Fast Pass rubber rings on rides and also the priority lanes. The whole park is heavily geared in favour of Fast Pass because (a) the number of red Fast Pass rubber rings outnumbers the free blue ones and (b) there is a priority lane for Fast Pass accessing each ride. At the beginning and end of the day, Fast Pass was not necessary and we were able to enjoy the park. Around the peak middle of the day it took far too long to access rides and we gave up queuing whilst hordes of Fast Pass holders went by. If you want a full day of rides action then you'll need Fast Pass otherwise it is possible to enjoy the park without. Various other costs add on to the entry cost - parking is 4 euros which you pay on entry and receive a metal token for the exit barrier. Lockers are 5 euros plus 5 euros deposit. When working out the cost for a day take into account entry + Fast Pass (12 per person) + Locker (5) + Parking (4 per vehicle). There seem to be various promotional offers available for Aqualeon so you should be able to avoid paying full price. Bear in mind the park offers a bounce back ticket available before you leave to return on another day for just 10 euros per person which could be of interest. Well worth arriving early. For me the must-do ride is Toboloko which is a great place to start your day with a burst of adrenaline. Enjoy !

A great water park, well worth a visit. Okay, so let's talk about good stuff. Rides are fun, staff are helpful, place is clean and well maintained. It's a stunning location in the middle of the forest, just beautiful. Parking is easy and well managed. Now, on to the stuff that doesn't work so well... Yes, there are 2 different queues. Queues for the floats (get them at the bottom of the rides, from the people who just finished) and queues to enter the rides. It's a theme park, there are queues, that's life. It's hard to blame Aqualeon for this, they can't provide a queue free water park! If you hate queuing, buy the fast pass 🤷. We were there on a day that was about 50% max occupancy (I asked a staff member), and wait time was 10-20 mins for a float and 5-15 for a ride. In 6 hours, we rode 8 rides and spent an hour on the wave pool.. seems pretty good to me. The lost star is for the food. I get it, it's a captive market, people who didn't bring their own food will pay €17 for a not very good pizza or burger. It's expensive, and the food could be easily improved (it's not terrible, but not great but value level is low due to high cost). *However* They provide a really good picnic area with a free to use microwave, and I think that's really good 👍. This is a great water park, we'd visit again for sure. Thank you Aqualeon!

Located in a nice rural area, way from the crowded coast but only 35 minutes from my home, this park has been on the site for over 50 years and this was my first visit with my 12 year old daughter. The park is OK, it is not as good as, for example, Aqua Brava near Roses, but is not as bad as some of the reviews make out. Visited on a Friday in August. The journey: Parking is good with guides showing you where to go, they charge €5 to get out, which to be fair is OK as i see this as encoyragement to use public transport - BUT the location is impossible for trains/buses so i assume you would need to find a special bus route. Queue to enter (with an online ticket) was fine, around 15 minutes and shaded area to queue - the queue to buy tickets on the door was at least twice as long. Staff were polite and kind, good first impressions. The park is nicely laid out visually, we found a nice shaded spot under olive trees next to the kamakazee slides, no need to rent a sunbed at €5. Despite arriving early (at 11am, opens at 10.30am), the queues for the most popular rides were very long, but difficult to figure out how long in time until you try yourself. We tried the Black Hole ride first, and after 15 minites of waiting and not moving i decided that the best solution is to buy the Fast Pass. Honestly, this is the only solution if you want to actually go on a ride during summer holidays. I considered that perhaps everyone would buy a Fast Pass and that queue would be just as long, but in fact it worked out fine. HOWEVER, this should not be a mandataory option - Yes, Summer holidays will of course be busy - a water park when it is 34 degrees is an obvious place to go, AND this is the only time the park is open!!!! So how to manage the queues better? Maybe limit the numbers of entry, maybe introduce a timeslot service (like Disney), or similar- but really, waiting an hour for a 20 second ride is not acceptable. Given the tickets are currently 2 for 1, this actually makes Fast Pass OK - it is 50% of the ticket price, so forget the 2 x 1 in your head, and buy the Fast Pass - HOWEVER, this only works for 2 or 4 people, i see groups of 9 or more and this Fast Pass charge on top of entry and lockers and parking and refreshment would break the bank. Food - for some reason all the food outlets were closed until we left, not sure why - the vast majority took their own food and used the Picnic areas which was completely full at lunch time (2pm). Snacks in the shop were roughly twice the price of acceptable, (€3.80 for a small Mars ice cream). Lockers - yes you have to pay but the risk of leaving phones, keys, wallet with your towel all day is too high, just go for it. Rides - the variety of slides is OK, they advertise 12, but there are 7 slides - not out of this world, but OK and acceptable - bearing in mind the slides are the main reason for coming here, so they defintely need more - the Rapid River, Black Hole and Toboloko were highlights and my daughter prefers the rides with the rings to avoid scraping her back etc, so that was a bonus. THE HILL! Wow, obviously being a water slide place means being located on a hill is perfect, but damn this is a STEEP hill!!! Comparing to other parks this is a real killer and we are fit people - lugging the rings up a (what felt like) 45 degree incline is a bit crazy, a lot of people had to sit down when they got to the ride queue back up the hill. Also, given the water/pathway mix you have to be aware of slipping - again mostly because of th incline than poor paths - wear water shoes if you have them, be prepared. Pool - the water was verging on unaccetably dirty - not awful dirt! just bits of vegetation and hair, it is off putting! The wave machine is gentle, runs every hour for 15 minutes i think. But not exciting, and given the lack of filtration i was happy to get out.

Conclusion - I doubt we will return as the queues are too long, it is too much work to enjoy, too few slides and not a...

I had a pretty dangerous incident here caused by one of the lifeguards. He pushed me out of the ring at the start of the speed boats ride and I slid down it fairly fast dragging my head the whole way down - it’s a long and fast slide and if it had happened to a child I’d imagine this would be a much worse story.

I have been left with a 4 inch lump on my head and bad grazing. I also have a pulled muscle in my neck. Had it been my fault I’d say nothing but the guy pushed me out of the ring at the start as he was disinterested and unprofessional in his job. To make matters worse I was in severe pain at bottom of the slide and trying to recover and was experiencing intense head pain and he sent 2 more people down to crash in to me despite the lifeguard at the bottom shouting at him to wait. He couldn’t have cared less. When the pain subsided I began to tell the lifeguard at the bottom that the lifeguard at the top had caused that incident. I tried to show him the lump that immediately came up on my head and explain my shoulder was in pain. His response was ‘do you want to claim and do you have a video.’ Hardly a customer friendly response and definitely no care or concern. He eventually directed me to the on site doctor and told me if I wanted to complain to go to information but he showed little concern or worry and turned away from me then.

I was giving some medical attention at the doctor and told to go to hospital if I got worse. Not much concern shown for a clear and obvious head injury.

When I went to information I have to praise the 3 girls working at the desk. They showed some human compassion and decency and actually expressed concern and shock at what had happened. I hadn’t considered looking for money back but they could see I had fast pass band on and was leaving early with my wife and 2 kids as I was, and still am, injured. A male supervisor arrived and they said to him to refund me for the fast passes but he kept saying to them to not give me money. This made me a mixture of angry and disgusted. I hadn’t asked for money or a refund at this point and was stressing to the ladies that I was most concerned by the fact the incident had happened and by the response stressing how dangerous it was and how badly managed it had been. But I then questioned the ticket prices and the man refused to refund only telling me to go to hospital and that it would be free. Now bear in mind money or a refund hadn’t even been a suggestion at first by me but I started to become insulted by this man’s reluctance to engage in the conversation after the ladies had suggested it. In the end after our taxi driver argued with him on our behalf he reluctantly filled in a claim form for us. I have no idea if this will be refunded at this point.

Currently I’m sitting the following day at the pool on my holiday. I can’t swim with the pain in my shoulder. I’ve a lump and cuts on my head, feet, have headaches and all because of the bad staff member in aqualeon. Apart from the 3 lovely girls at information I feel I was treated like a problem and don’t feel that there was a good customer service response.

I must end by thanking the 3 girls at information. I hope you all know that the qualities the 3 of you possess are to be admired and praised. I hope you all continue to be the kind compassionate people you are and thank you for being a small bit of positivity in a disastrous experience. I greatly appreciate it and hope good karma comes your way to repay you....
