There is a hidden pebble beach surrounded by cliffs and forest. The path to the beach can be divided into three parts: First one was bumpy road, you can go there by car if you trust it (there are a lot of sharp rocks, but we managed to get to the end even with small rental car without any harm to it). Second part is a forest path, which is kinda pretty, you can see goats just roaming there. Sometimes there are more challenging parts (like a fallen tree etc.) but I'd call it standard "hike" for unskilled people (but if you have mobility issues, you should not go here). The third part... Well, if you are afraid of heights, this is gonna be difficult for you. You have to basically climb on a cliff. All kinds of rocks and boulders, rocks on the left side, sea on the right. No fence or any other security. We got to the checkpoint, where the only way to continue to the beach is to climb over a big rock. One small slip and you fall down the cliff to the sea (very rocky, not pleasant). We had a lunch there and watched other people. There were basically two groups. First one (usually locals) came in flip flops, sometimes even with dogs or kids, and just jumped over the boulder like it's not a biggie. The second group (which we belonged to) saw the situation and just stopped for a while, ate lunch and gave up the trip. So we took some pictures of the beach and cliffs etc. (which were beautiful) and went back to the car. So yes, the beach is beautiful but be aware that if you are afraid of heights, your should go...
Read moreTo be honest we decided to visit this beach as its most rated on mallorca and we was really dissapointed. The road to the beach was very difficult so dont think about any other type of transport than car or a boat. We decided to make a bicycle trip. On the road there are many hills and up and downs. Finally when you reach the refugee point there is more like 15minutes of descent down the reef. The rocks are very big and there is no handrail so be careful cause you can actually die. So by bikes it takes us 1,5hour. And now the beach, as you can see the water was full of boats. Beach was made by little stones. Cause of the sun was burning hot 33C you can’t go barefoot through the beach so you have to take some water shoes. Only one thing which is positive on this beach is you can find some cool little stones with any color. And also there was few goats. Boats which are parking here are really annoying cause all the time someone started the engine and etc... dunno if there was so much people because of the saturday or the middle of the summer.
Also nearest and more beautiful beaches are 10minutes by bikes through alcudia city center. Playa sant pere and Playa de sant joan. Sand beaches and not that much people like on alcudia beach. Also there is a bar when you can order something to eat and none of these are on Playa del coll baix... 3 stars, wont...
Read moreReaching this beach is a serious commitment — and unfortunately, the reward does not match the effort. If you don’t arrive extremely early in the morning, you’ll be forced to leave your car at the entrance to the park, from where it’s a 30–35 minute walk just to reach the start of the actual hike. From there, it’s another 40 minutes of real, uneven hiking, ending with a climb over rocks before you finally reach the shore. The disappointment sets in quickly: the water is medium‑cold and not as clear as you would expect given the remote access. In the afternoon, the sea gets murkier due to numerous boats moored close to shore, which also block the view, while the constant arrival of people disrupts the sense of isolation. The sand is black, heating up uncomfortably under the sun. Wild goats roam freely on the beach — they often approach bags in search of food, especially if you’re in the water, so it’s not advisable to bring or consume snacks. The beach has no bars, no sunbeds, no showers, and no amenities whatsoever, as it is entirely wild. Overall: The strenuous hike, modest scenery, and lack of facilities make this beach not worth visiting. The long walk, boat congestion, and intrusive goats turn what could be a hidden gem into a frustrating experience. Unless you’re looking for the challenge of the hike itself, this is one Mallorca beach I do...
