A wonderful experience, from start to finish, by two passionate, welcoming, intelligent and warm-hearted people. Stephane and Flavia, and their two adorable little rescue dogs take you away on a journey into the stars. I don't want to give away too much of the schedule, because I believe it's best to go into this with an open mind. A carefully curated program educates you on the creation of the universe, our solar system and how stars are formed. Stephane is very knowledgeable, and is keen to answer your questions. No matter how much or how little you know, Stephane and Flavia will take great care to pry open your minds, so you walk away with a greater sense of wonder of how we all carry stardust as old as the universe itself. While you start off sheltered in modern technology, eventually, you can use your own eyes to cast a gaze deep into space. The location was carefully curated for it's height, although flat terrain, away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. You'll find yourself craning your necks, as if you are standing on a plateau close to the stars. They both do not shy away from a bit of a philosophical discussion on how humanity has been looking up into the sky, with curiosity, drawing up constellations. I was even able to snap a picture of the moon! We are forever grateful of both the experience ánd the great company of Stephane and Flavia. A few practical considerations: the road to Sky Andaluz is perfectly paved, the last few hundred meters is a very accessible and flat grind road. If your navigation tells you to turn off the paved road: DON'T!!! Stick to the paved road, your gps will adjust. Waze tried to send us down some farm roads and they're... well, not great. You will be offered these instructions, take them to heart, please. Bring something to warm you, as you're pretty high up and it cools off quite a bit (and even if you forget, warm fleece jackets are available). The rescue dogs are two tiny, sweet, adorable, well behaved sweeties. Peta will be chilling and asking for belly rubs and the latest rescue dog is still mostly afraid of people and prefers your company at a distance. If you're thinking you'll get a private session to use the equipment as you want, don't book the standard visit. Lastly, both Stephane and Flavia are somewhat of a polyglot couple, with perfect knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, Italian... Great for couples and families with kids age 8 and up. This experience is etched into our memory and our hearts. Obrigado, Stéphane & Flavia! Much love from your friends and fans from Belgium (and thank you for holding on to my hat :D) BIG...

The first thing that is great about a visit to Sky Andaluz is the warm and friendly welcome you will receive from the hosts Flávia, and Stephane. The experience begins with a meet and greet with the other guests where you can have a bite to eat (you can bring your own food) and a hot drink before heading to the dome. The dome itself is a great building and is laid out with comfortable seating so you can relax and view the visual and audio presentation which is very interesting and informative. When the presentation in the dome is finished, the real fun begins! Stephane prepares the telescopes for the highlights that can be seen on the night you visit. This is dependant on the position of the stars/planets at the time of year you visit. You will view galaxies and stars looking back in time many thousands of light years, and each viewing is described by Stephane in a way that is easy to understand for any level of interest. The whole experience is simply wonderful and we learnt so much! We will definitely visit again in future, maybe at a time when we can view Saturn and it’s rings!

If you are in the Andalusia area you really MUST visit. It is a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Thankyou Stephane and Flavia.

Despite a trying journey hence our group arriving a little late Stephane was so welcoming and instantly engaging infecting us all with his enthusiasm. He was endlessly patient with our 9 year old full of questions making it fun and inclusive. We were lucky to have a clear night, and were well wrapped up in extra coats by Stephane’s delightful wife. Stephane explained everything so well, no silly questions! Looking through his telescope was awe inspiring, never rushed and all done in an entertaining well explained manner. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Finishing with hot chocolate, cheerful chatter and more stellar explanations it was a real evening to remember. I shall look at the skies through different eyes from now on as a result of our visit to Sky Andaluz. Thank you...
