This was truly one of the most memorable visits to a private home of a well-known person I have ever made. Everything about the late Antonio Gala's home was perfect. Perfection. The ambience is stunning, as if you could be in the middle of the countryside. The tranquillity is palpable. The gardens are gorgeous, designed in an Italian style, with every space appealing to a different mood, a different time of day. The house itself is as it was the day Antonio left this world. His impression remains. A home of tasteful furniture, exquisite artwork and trinkets, and a visual memory of the incredible intellectual that he was. The telephone he must have used to have the most interesting discussions, remains in place on his desk. His fantastic collection of books invites the visitor into a unique world. The aspect of the house is without parallel, the views through the open windows exquisite. And all this presented by Maria, one of the most beautiful, enthusiastic and hospitable souls you will ever meet. Maria can guide you in Spanish, Italian or English. Her love of the environment is infectious. These were moments, a privilege, I will never forget. Do not miss this...

Una experiencia inolvidable con Antonio en La Casa La Baltasara

Visitar La Casa La Baltasara en Alhaurín el Grande es, sin duda, una experiencia mágica, pero vivirla de la mano de Antonio, su guía, la convierte en algo verdaderamente inolvidable. This is a gorgeous house in an amazing setting. I can't believe how well kept everything is. The house has a calm air, no wonder Antonio Gala spent his time here. The grounds are beautiful, you hear birds all around you. Special mention goes to our guide, Antonio, who is full of interesting facts and we could tell this wasn't just a job, we need passion like this, I hope the ayuntamiento does everything possible to keep him and this place as it is....
