Martín Berdugo Winery and Vineyards — Attraction in Aranda de Duero

My Fiancée and I visited the vineyard and winery/bodega on a whim based upon the reviews I saw here on google. We set up a tasting and tour by emailing the domain listed on the Bodega's website, we received a prompt reply and the Bodega was very accommodating in making sure we found a time that worked for both us and them.

As my Fiancée is not Spanish speaking we were given a wonderful tour in English by Marie. We walked the vineyard, toured the production house and offices, and finished in the lovely tasting room that overlooks the vineyard. Marie was incredibly knowledgeable about wine making in general and more so in what makes wines from Aranda de Duero so special. We enjoyed a tasting complete with cheese and crackers, and Marie provided some recommendations for other Bodegas in the area. Before we left we purchased some of the delicious wine to take home. We visited the Martin Berdugo wine yard on our trip through Ribera del Duero, and we had an exellent visit. First we went to the fields and then followed the process through the vineyard. We ended the tour with personal tasting of the wines with cheese in addition. A premier example of customer service and open environment, we felt as being part of the family.
