This historic building, dating from the 18th -19th century, was acquired at the start of the 20th century by José Tavio Sierra. The property, a beautiful example of traditional Canarian architecture, is popularly known as "The Tavio Family Winery" since it houses the wine press and cellars mainly used for brewing and storing the family's wine. The house, whose ownership was transferred to the Towm Hall of Arona in 1996, takes us back to traditional agriculture and it helps to enrich its urban surroundings.

Alas, travelled to see this wonderful building...but it was closed despite the notices and Google site saying it was open. Please update site when closed. My advice is to call ahead. Having said that he town was very pleasant and so good to find a real Spanish town where the locals live. Lovely historic ayuntamiento (town hall) with art. Streets and bars with fab views to coast. Such a relief from the coast!

A renovated family winery from the 1700’s , lovely Museum of the local culture , we made the trip up from Adeje, and it was so worth it. I don’t know if there is always a guided tour, but we were there about 11am on a Thursday and met the lovely Victoria, who explained everything about the house and family, she was a fountain of knowledge while being patient and kind. Great views from the upper wooden windows..
