:) :) :) :) :) :) Very nice and informative guided walking tour of the Banana Plantation and Museum / Display areas. We took the €10 per person tour with our guide Mr. Steve. Our walking tour was available in English and they offer many other guided tours in various languages. We did book in advance but you can always show up and see if there is space. We were super lucky as we went on a quiet afternoon and had the tour completely to ourselves. Steve was a great tour guide and host. We really enjoyed the walking tour, the entire grounds and views, and the samples of the various banana's and products they produce. It is very nice they allow you to relax before and after the tour on the grounds. It is a great place to relax after the tour and to sit and enjoy the views and listen to the bird songs. They do have as well a before and after photo album that is definitely worth looking through. It is amazing that this area was just barren land only 3 years prior with broken buildings in need of reform. Super interesting how quickly and tall or short banana plants grow and how the groundskeepers continue to ensure they flower to produce bananas for sale to the local co-op of grower / sellors on the island. Bonus was how exceptionally well kept the grounds were and how they have placed washrooms further into the plantation for easy access during the tour. Parking onsite is possible for cars. Global bus from Aruchas town bus station arrives just near the entry gate to the Plantation and a short walk to the Information desk and shop. Highly...
Read moreI was here a few weeks ago. The team was absolutely lovely: friendly, attentive, happy to answer any question. The tour (Spanish or English, starts every half an hour) is only 10€ and includes half an hour of a guided tour, where you get loads of information about the history of bananas and get to see the whole premises to differentiate the single sorts of banana plants. At the end a little taste test of different products (ham, wine, sparkling wine, Apple-banana, banana liquor, jelly) made from banana is also included. Short: a visit is 100% recommended for anyone who wants to learn a little bit about bananas and wants to make amazing memories on Gran...
Read moreThis place is a hidden treasure, we didn't even know at first, that it existed but we were speechless after we finished here. The entry was really cheap for the two of us and it included a friendly and informative guided tour (English Spanish) where the lady explained how are they growing bananas, how much time and energy they put into them and a little history of the whole. The house and plantation is fully renovated and at the end of the tour we were invited to a tasting where we could enjoy different kinds of banana liqour, marmalade and a banana to take. A visit definitely worth it, if you're at the northern part of the island go and...
