Yacimiento del Cabezo de Alcalá — Attraction in Azaila

Amazing archeological site of great importance. The treasure this place is, is so understated with the simple entrance. What a surprise it was, to see the quality of the remains.

Of course to see the statues and artifacts found, one needs to go to the National museum in Madrid.

Recomiendo visitar este yacimiento ibero, el cual, es uno de los mejores yacimientos iberos de la Península Ibérica, ya que se mantiene en un estado de conservación extraordinario y el poblado es también de los más grandes perimetralmente que se han excavado. Asimismo, su historia es singular; porque abarca el periodo de transición a la posterior romanización, viéndose los restos del asedio romano al mismo. Con la guía acompañante, que nos explicó cada detalle, se ve tanto el centro de interpretación como el yacimiento, de imprescindible visita para conocer nuestro pasado más remoto.
