As I sit on the sandy shores of this topless beach in the Basque Country, I am struck by the sheer majesty of the scenery before me. And of course, there are the topless beachgoers who add to the sensory feast on offer.

I really don't know what to say... I frequented this cove fifty years ago and forty and thirty and twenty... and I've been away for a few years. Now they have worked to make this beach accessible to the residents of the houses in the area. The beach has lost, then, the wild, untamed aura of then and is now a pile of rolling stones in a rocky inlet where it will be difficult to take a swim at low tide.

I also didn't like the new environment, the people who were there. I sincerely believe that there are much more attractive sandy areas in the surrounding area. If you have any mobility problems, this beach may not be ideal.

Not as dramatic as seen in the movie, but nice anyway. The beach is well-maintained. The beach is acessible via good quality tarmac road. There are free toilets and showers on entrance. We also met two lifeguards watching the beach. The last meters are facilitated by timber staircase. A small stream falls on the beach and makes impression of a waterfall.
