An excellent viewpoint with stunning scenery! Absolutely worth a visit if you’re nearby.
I don’t know what all the reviews saying treacherous, bad, or “adventurous” roads are talking about. All the roads there are perfectly fine. The road from Paulenca is about 3km of dirt road and a very easy drive. The road from Beas de Gaudix is a paved (albeit steep) road, which has room to pass oncoming vehicles if needed for most of the drive up/down.

Read moreBeautiful views of this desert area. There is an area right next to Beas de Guadix you can park at (near the basketball court) and walk the ~800 meter steep uphill to the viewpoint. You can also drive the whole way up but I didn't do this as it is narrow (don't think two cars can pass), has many curves, and very steep. I would also recommend Mirador de Cárcavas de Marchal and Mirador Badlands de Purullena which provide a similar type of views that are just as nice and are at walking distance...
Read moreGoogle maps will send you on a death defying drive up a narrow concrete path, that drops off on either side in places, and has room for exactly one car. So not sure what happens if two cars meet traveling in opposite directions. Luckily we met hikers who had parked on the other side and walked on a more passable road, so used that to get back . So go around, don't listen to Google maps on how to get there.
